Laid back, informal and relaxed….Summer at the Coast is here!

We had heard a lot of great things about this place so our expectation were high, thankfully we were not disappointed! This place is beautiful. Open plan, with a lazy, Californian beach housesque feel. There are three separate, yet interconnected areas. Each offering stunning views over the water, yet managing to convey an informal party like vibe.

We arrived and were greeted by a live DJ doing his thing, water misters keeping everyone cool and setting sun out over the water. We grabbed a table, ordered a round of Otherside Festive Ale (OMG Sooo Good!) and checked out the menu.

To be honest we were a little surprised by the simplicity of it. I had expected far more seafood or maybe some modern plates. However we were presented with some grazing plates, bar specials and wood-fired pizzas. There were four of us so we decided what the hell let’s have a pizza-a-thon. We ordered one each of the Pollo (Tandoori Chicken), Verde (Vegetarian), Coast (Seafood) and Roma (Italian Sausage and Olive).

We were overly ambitious thinking we could eat one each because they were huge. But that didn’t matter because they were all absolutely smashing! The flavours on each pizza were entirely different. But each one had a fantastic depth and celebrated the ingredients used. It was impossible to pick a favourite.

The atmosphere was fantastic, the food was delicious and the beer range was great! This place is a definite if you want to party with friends, enjoy a cold drink and look out over the ocean whilst pondering life.

We will definitely be back ! Especially since we have to try the rest of their menu.
